About River of No Return Recovery Center

River of No Return Recovery Center (RRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Community Recovery Center located in Salmon, Idaho. Established to meet the growing need for accessible recovery support in rural Lemhi County and surrounding areas, RRC officially opened on January 1, 2026.

Our Approach

RRC is a peer-led recovery center providing free support services to adults 18+ seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. Our approach is grounded in lived experience, mutual support, and the belief that long-term recovery is strengthened through connection, empowerment, and community.

Our Board

Our independent governing board is comprised of 50% members who are themselves in recovery, ensuring that the voices and experiences of those we serve remain central to our mission and decision-making.

Rural Outreach

In addition to services at our Main Street location, RRC provides rural outreach and recovery support to outlying communities, reducing barriers to care in underserved areas.

Our Mission

Through advocacy, education, and peer connection, River of No Return Recovery Center works to strengthen individuals, families, and the broader community—one recovery journey at a time.
